I woke this morning to find my arms were bright red. A look in the mirror confirmed my face was the same. Sun burnt yesterday and I had forgotten to pack the sun screen!
Today in New Zealand is Waitangi Day, a public holiday, and I needed to find a shop open to buy sun cream. Eventually found one and quickly back to the hotel to apply.
Next stop was the harbour where I was meeting a guide from Auckland Walks for a group walking tour. Afterwards I caught a bus to go and visit the Howick historical village.
