Today I was picked up from the hotel by Elite Adventures for an all day tour. First stop was Wai O Tapu

Next a short drive to the Waimangu Volcanic Valley where the guide
explained the Mt. Tarawera eruption which blew open this spectacular,
bush covered, geothermal park.

Maori cemetery. As you leave the cemetery there is a tap to wash your hands. My guide explained that this ensures the spirits stay in the cemetery.
